Many of us represent clients with diminished capacity. For some, this is a regular part of our practice. For others, this issue arises unexpectedly midrepresentation when a client suffers an accident or injury. This two-part CLE program will explore the ethical rules that govern the representation of clients with diminished capacity in Oregon, as well as the practical application of these rules to situations that may arise in practice.

Scholarships: The Disability Law Section offers annual scholarships for individuals to attend the Section’s CLE at no cost. Scholarships are intended to ensure that attorneys who are interested in disability law and who are newer to the profession and/or who the cost of the CLE creates a financial barrier to attendance, are able to attend. If you are interested in being considered for a scholarship, please email Rebecca Babarsky with “Disability Section Scholarship” in the subject line. In your email, please include 1) the number of years you have been in practice, and a statement regarding your financial need, if applicable; 2) a brief description of your interest in disability law. Scholarships are limited and will be granted on a rolling basis.
