The Supervising Attorney leads the Statewide Guardianship representation program, including directing advocacy conducted by three full-time staff (one Staff Attorney, an Advocate, and an Intake Advocate). The Supervising Attorney leads the Multnomah County Civil Commitment Program, providing direct legal representation and advocacy for individuals facing civil commitment proceedings in Multnomah County, Oregon. This includes courtroom representation, protection of clients’ legal rights, safeguarding due process, and providing information and guidance to support self-advocacy. The role also includes supervision and direction of advocacy work carried out by five full-time staff members: two Staff Attorneys and three Administrative support employees.

Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO) – Staff Attorney, Native American Program (NAPOLS)
The staff attorney will be responsible for maintaining a varied caseload, with an emphasis on providing advice and counsel, brief service, limited advocacy, or full representation to eligible Tribal members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, in Tribal, state and federal courts, and administrative agencies, as well as outreach and community education, in-person and in virtual formats. The types of cases that this position may handle include the following: Public and Tribal Benefits; child dependency and parental rights; family law; domestic violence protective orders; housing; consumer law and debtor rights; and other areas as the needs arise. This position also includes communication with team members, community members, Clients, other stakeholders.
Pay: Compensation is based on a 35-hour work week. Salary range is $66,200 – 73,700 for 0-5 years’ experience; $75,200 – 81,200 for 6-10 years’ experience and $82,700 – $105,200 for 11-30 years’ experience annually; salaries are determined by relevant work experience and our Collective Bargaining Agreement. Additional $4,300 to $5,700 annually for bilingual ability, depending on proficiency. The Portland Regional Office of Legal Aid Services of Oregon is seeking a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) attorney to serve domestic and sexual violence survivors in Multnomah County. The position is a hard-funded position. This will primarily be a family law caseload including representation of clients in restraining orders, divorce and custody matters with the opportunity to expand into other areas of civil litigation as it relates to survivor rights. This position will be eligible for a partial remote work option.
Pay: Compensation is based on a 35-hour work week. Salary range is $66,200 – 73,700 for 0-5 years’ experience; $75,200 – 81,200 for 6-10 years’ experience and $82,700 – $105,200 for 11-30 years’ experience annually; salaries are determined by relevant work experience and our collective bargaining agreement. An additional $4,300 to $5,700 annually is available to bilingual staff, depending on proficiency. Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO) – Regional Director, Albany Regional Office
The Regional Director leads an office of five staff attorneys and three support staff and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the office. Duties include supervising legal work; mentoring and overseeing the career development of staff; planning and priority setting; grant compliance; and maintaining good relations within the office and with community organizations and the private bar. The Regional Director also has a small independent caseload, and in that respect, has all of the duties of a staff attorney.
Pay: Compensation is based on a 35-hour work week. The salary range is $82,700 – 90,200 for 5-10 years’ experience and $91,700-114,200 for 11-30 years’ experience annually; salaries are determined by relevant work experience. Additional compensation of $4,300 to $5,700 annually for bilingual ability, depending on proficiency. Oregon Law Center – Director of Litigation
Oregon Law Center (OLC) seeks an experienced attorney to manage the State Support Unit (SSU) and lead the program’s litigation efforts, focusing on increasing full representation for the low-income communities that the legal aid programs in Oregon serve. A significant part of the assignment is to ensure that less experienced advocates have an appropriate professional mentor and trainer to advise or co-counsel in their litigation. The Director of Litigation is responsible for generating enthusiasm and excitement for the program’s advocacy, helping advocates see themselves as leaders, and helping people gain confidence and excel in their work. The position can be based in any OLC office in the state.
Pay: $95,300 to $127,000 depending on experience level. Additional compensation for bilingual ability.
