DESCRIPTION:Our annual CLE is coming up on December 11\, 2023! We are offering the CLE as both a live event and a webcast. Our annual event will take place just after the CLE at Bunk Beer Hall at Bridgeport Village. We look forward to seeing you there! \nRepresenting Clients with Diminished Capacity: Ethical Questions and Practical Answers\nCosponsored by the Disability Law Section \n1 p.m.–3:40 p.m. PST\, Monday\, December 11\, 2023 \nCLE credits: 1.5 General and 1 Ethics (Oregon Specific) \nIn-Person Event: Oregon State Bar Center\, Tigard or Live Webcast | Search for DIS23 in the catalog \nMany of us represent clients with diminished capacity. For some\, this is a regular part of our practice. For others\, this issue arises unexpectedly midrepresentation when a client suffers an accident or injury. This two-part CLE program will explore the ethical rules that govern the representation of clients with diminished capacity in Oregon\, as well as the practical application of these rules to situations that may arise in practice. \nDownload the brochure for more details. \nPricing: $25\, with scholarships available: \nScholarships: The Disability Law Section offers annual scholarships for individuals to attend the Section’s CLE at no cost. Scholarships are intended to ensure that attorneys who are interested in disability law and who are newer to the profession and/or who the cost of the CLE creates a financial barrier to attendance\, are able to attend. If you are interested in being considered for a scholarship\, please email Rebecca Babarsky with “Disability Section Scholarship” in the subject line.
